Hi Jeanne, I hate to tell you, but you are a "twitterholic"...and according to this page, http://twitterholic.com/top100/followers/bylocation/Pittsburgh%2C+PA/ you started using Twitter 481 months ago! :-) Find yourself in the list...about #26 on the list and you'll see how long you've [supposedly] been on Twitter. Funny. I stumbled on that by looking at the list of #moonfruit people. :-)

Now back to your regularly scheduled program....

Jeanne - I'm so glad to have read your blog posts and learned a little about you. My dad had a thyroid cancer scare last summer. He didn't have it, but he does have a goiter and a cold nodule. They are watching him.

I am a music lover, as well. I have played the piano since I was 8 years old. I'm still not terrific, but I am at least able to play whatever I want -- some things better than others, of course! My favorites are the Great American Songbook, esp. Cole Porter and Rodgers and Hart. I also adore Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Diana Krall, Stevie Wonder, Nat King Cole -- the list is too numerous to list! I was lucky enough to see Bobby Short perform twice in my life, and I'll never forget it.

I have to start twittering too. I have an account, just haven't been active. My son says he'll help me.

Looking forward to more conversations!

Elaine,
I am thankful for the technology that allows us to reach out to others from the comfort of our home. When I think back to what communicating was like in the not so distant past, it is amazing! I'm glad I have the opportunity to interact with so many wonderful people. Thanks for being a part of that for me!

Pat,
I can't imagine a more difficult fate than to lose a child. Stories like yours remind me of how truly blessed I am. God bless you and thank you for sharing with me!

Ditto on the "watercooler" for work-at-home people (we are so lucky!). Twitter has been a terrific way to meet nice people and share since I joined March 21 (but who's counting!). Positive-thinkers like you, Jeanne, are what help the most.
Best!

Enjoyed your posts. Yes, I love twitter. I'm glad you shared about having had cancer.
I lost my lovely 41 yr. old dtr. 8 yr. ago to breast cancer. She only lived 6mo. after her diagnosis. You are blessed to have come through your fiery trial, and to realize what a gift of time and a renewed sense of the present you have been given. May God continue to bless you as you reach out to other women. Thank you, my new friend.

Diane,
As a fellow work-at-home woman, twitter has definitely become my "water cooler". It is a great way to meet people, learn, share & enjoy what we each have to offer!
Thanks for sharing,
Jeanne

I love twitter too! I've made some new friends, learned a lot, and helped others lose weight in a healthy way (what I do). For those of us who work from home, Twitter is like our "watercooler". Thanks for starting this conversation.
