Hi,
I am shucknjive on blip. Thanks for being my first prop giver. I am blessed, and pleased to be your givee.
You may have posted a chat blurp to me there….I don’t know how to reply to that….
I just feel my way around. I am R_SE_Skywalker on twitter, I would love it if you followed me.
I must comment to you about Page 43, I play it on the guitar, at least once a week.
I’m 57 years young, a native american, my name is Rick
My mother’s name is Gene….that is how my grandmother spells it.
My grandmother named me my name in the Shawnee tongue of which I am a member.
It is wesisimo, pronounced weh see SEE mo’
She was prophetic in naming me, I am the only musician in her immediate bloodline, and she
christened me when I was still in the hospital, about 3 days old.
It means, “a beautiful sound in the distance”.
I will take it. lol
Nice to meet you, we can even exchange email, I am with a lovely mate but friends are allowed.
Rick,
Thank you for visiting! I love that your name means “beautiful sound in the distance”, that is so special. I will let you know when I get around to taking up guitar again. I would love to be able to play Page 43. Take care and see you on twitter & blip. ~ Jeanne
Jimi, I am so sorry to know that you lost your sister to cancer. I can only imagine how hard that would be! Thanks for visiting and I hope we can keep in touch on blip.fm. Jeanne
she actually beat the cancer… technically died from septic shock at age 38. I miss her dearly. Her name is Dawn Angel and the last movie her and I watched together was “City Of Angels” …I gotta’ tell ya’… whenever I hear Iris by The GooGoo Dolls… it’s really hard to hold back a tear. (btw… she was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer)
Jimi, Music is a powerful thing. A song can trigger such memories for us. One of my dad’s favorite songs was Last Date by Floyd Cramer. It’s a lovely piano instrumental that will forever remind me of him. Thanks for sharing more of your story with me. ~ Jeanne
In 2003, they said I had thryoid cancer too..However, it was a misdiagnosis but after a dose of chemo and all the drugs, it did a number on my ears. I have lost a bit of hearing due to all this…
That was the same time I had my divorce and lost my house.
But I feel truly blessed to be alive and healthy and to have just graduated..and of course for my children.
Take care Jeanne, you are an inspiration..and I agree about the music..That’s why I keep blipping, it’s soothing, reflective and just plain therapeutic.
Joanne,
Wow! I’m so sorry you had to go through all that unnecessarily. And at such a difficult time in your life. But, I’m sure you are the stronger for having gone through it. I like your words on music – “soothing, reflective and just plain therapeutic”. I agree completely! xoxo ~ Jeanne
